Clear bag rules can be confusing, especially if you're heading to a stadium you haven't visited before. Here's a quick guide to the SEC and Tiger Stadium clear bag rules, plus the clear bags we carry at Frock Candy and their exact sizes.
The clear bag rules
The SEC adopted a conference-wide clear bag policy starting with the 2017 football season, and LSU's current Tiger Stadium policy (updated August 2026) follows the same sizes. Approved bags are:
- Clear bags made of clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc or similar)
- Small clutches, with or without a strap, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" (these don't have to be clear)
Rules can change and can differ at other venues, so always check the stadium's own page before you go.
How to pick a clear bag
- Check the measurements. Every bag below lists its size, and all of them fall within the 12" x 6" x 12" limit.
- Watch for extra pouches. A pouch inside your bag that isn't clear may not be allowed, even if the bag itself is. If yours comes with one, like the Fun on the Inside Clear Crossbody or the Too Chic Clear Bag and Pouch, it's safest to leave the pouch at home on game day.
- Choose your trim color. Clear bags with team-color trim or a beaded strap tie your whole outfit together.
